Staying on Track + Linkup
Today I am co-hosting with Ada for Thursday with Moda. I love co-hosing, it brings me closer with other bloggers who are not in my area. I like to think Ada and I have become blog friends. We comment on each other’s posts and support each other.
This post is being dedicated to those hard working ladies!
I thought the rail road tracks would be perfect for this blog post. Working full time, being a wife and blogger are very time consuming. A blog post doesn’t just write itself. I often will ask friend’s to preview a post and give feedback if I’m not certain. Like my DIY Gift Basket post earlier this week I had a friend check it out cause I wasn’t 100% about the gift basket. She confirmed my thoughts and I re-shot the basket. Then there is finding similar items, like these wedges are from last year. With my acute tendentious I can’t wear heels for more than 20 minutes if I want to walk after. Typically I am in my MK wedges with a tiny heel or in flats. Like I just picked up these TB flip flops and have been wearing them as my alternative to the MK wedges. It’s not good to wear a pair of shoes everyday even though my husband thinks so. The point is I haven’t purchased new shoes because I can’t wear many of them anymore.
So many of you know I started a new job 2 months ago. I have been asked how it’s going. It has been a struggle to answer this question. I work in a “Boys Club” and often get left out of meetings, discussions, and lunches. Having never worked in this environment it’s a big adjustment. I keep telling myself it’s not personal that they exclude me, but some days it’s hard not to wonder. Between being left out and lack of knowledge / input into things I finally found a word that describes my new job. Unfulfilling. I don’t go home at night feeling like I accomplished something or that I made a contribution to my company. Which is very hard for me. I have always worked at places that utilized my many skills and encouraged me to help in other area’s of the company. Now that I have my word I will be talking with my boss about it. I mean you don’t hire someone like me and then waste my talent. Have you ever had this happen to you? If so how did you handle it?
Thank you for stopping by and linking up!
