Anthro Casual

I am all about being comfortable.  With the humidity in NC reaching highs of 100+, I want to stay cool while being professional for work!  Wearing light weight cotton with a tie or elastic waist makes my life so much better.  I have slowly put on weight over the years, which I am doing a terrible job at loosing, so pants that don’t cut into my stomach is high on my list.  In my family the women gain weight in the stomach and butt area, along with the upper thigh.  It is easy to conceal if you know how to dress around it, but many of the times pants that button also cut.
I normally don’t shop Anthropology, and these pants are sold out (linked an alternate above).  Where I love Anthro the prices are just too high for me.  I have no desire to spend over $100 on a dress or pair of pants. So I wait for things to go on clearance, and then marked down again.  I have gotten some pretty cute things (like this top) for under $40!  I wasn’t sure about these pants at first.  The leg opening is wider than I like.  They are SO comfortable though.  So I found styling them is key to not looking frumpy.  #1 – Wear heels or wedges!  #2 – Wear a more fitted shirt.  Big on top and bottom is not flattering.  I did a front tuck with this tee so it would give me a defined waist.  Last draw the eye up!  I do this with big bold earrings and jewelry on my hands and wrists.
I am so excited!  We leave for Savannah this weekend.  I think both my husband and I are overdue for a get away.  We love staycations but letting loose and relaxing is hard when you are home.  Not far from Savannah is Tybee Island where we will spend at least 2 days.  We booked our stay with Airbnb.  After our trip last year to Savannah where we booked a cute Carriage House we knew this was the only way for us to travel!  We can sit on the front porch, cook, and have room to move and relax.  For us this is the only way to travel.  Being this is our second year I knew exactly where I wanted to be.  I started looking in March for our trip in July.  I booked our place in May.  Booking early I have found gives more options for lower prices.  Both times our 1 bedroom ‘house’ was around $100 a night.  Also, I always pack food from home.  Eggs, butter, snacks, etc.  This makes having to buy items when we get there lower.  We eat breakfast at the house, plus I pack a lunch when we go to the beach.  Dinner is our meal out which allows us to spend more money on a great meal.  I have been watching # on IG and searching blogs for Savannah trip advice.  I have a few new places I want to try.  I will be recapping our trip for you and giving a trip guide on what we have found and tried.

What items do you love for the office?
