Blueberry Spritzer

We love making new cocktails!

While picking up spirits for the Holiday weekend I saw Smirnoff Blueberry Vodka was on sale.
So of course I took to Pinterest to see what fun new drink I could come up with.  Lemonade was a main ingredient in most cocktails with Blueberry Vodka.
Here is my version of a Blueberry Spritzer.  Even though a spritzer is really Wine and Soda Water.

First up I made some Honey Simple Syrup.  1 part Honey to 1 part Water (I did 1/4 cup of each).  Heat until honey blends.
It’s that easy!  You only need 1 Tbsp for the cocktail.

This is not a sponsored post and I am not compensated for this post.

photographer my hubby!

It has been so hot and humid here in NC!  It’s so humid you can ‘Chew the Air’.
We have been finding ways to stay cool….going to the pond to swim, mixing light drinks, staying inside between 12p and 6p (hottest part of the day).
If you have been reading for a while you have heard me talk about the pond (or I also call it the Lake) across from our house set in the woods.  It’s our own private fishing / swimming hole.  We go there often in the summer, even packing a picnic most times.
Having a light cocktail is important.

Blueberry Vodka
Sparkling Water or Spiked Seltzer
[use spiked seltzer if you don’t have sparkling water and lemonade]
1 Tbsp Honey Simple Syrup

Combine 1 Tbsp syrup, 1 shot Vodka, Mix equal parts Lemonade and Sparkling Water.
We added ice after sipping without.  It totally needs ice!
Garnish with what you have or like.  This is a light and fun drink for a super hot and humid day!
