Blueberry Spritzer

We love making new cocktails!

While picking up spirits for the Holiday weekend I saw Smirnoff Blueberry Vodka was on sale.
So of course I took to Pinterest to see what fun new drink I could come up with.  Lemonade was a main ingredient in most cocktails with Blueberry Vodka.
Here is my version of a Blueberry Spritzer.  Even though a spritzer is really Wine and Soda Water.

Light Summer Salad

I love to make light salads for the summer.  Lately we have been loving fresh radishes!  So naturally I decided to make a salad around them.  I looked on Pinterest and found a corn based salad that had radishes.  I added items we love, like dead less cucumbers and onion.  With so many flavors I didn’t want a heavy sauce.  Lime juice and dill brought all the flavors together. Cinco de Mayo

We are not big on celebrating any holiday.  We gather for Thanksgiving because my mom insists, but otherwise we avoid all holiday’s.  This year though I decided to make home made Guacamole for Cinco de Mayo.  I mean why not!  I don’t have to buy a gift for anyone, I don’t have to give a card.  It’s a simple holiday that can be fun at home.  So I am sharing with  you my simple and delicious Guacamole recipe! Steak Street Style Taco

I finally got B to eat ‘Mexican’ food!  His boss, who is from Mexico, introduced him to real mexican taco’s.  There is a restaurant close to the job site and they go all the time.  So I texted the boss and asked how he prepared taco’s at home.  I am sharing this with you in the hopes we can bring more non-taco lovers to our side.  First up, you will never buy taco seasoning again!  Second, forget ground beef!  Steak is where it’s at. Fig and Avocado Grilled Cheese

I love a good grilled sandwich.  When I picked up these fresh figs in the grocery store I was baffled as to how I would use them.

Have you ever stood in a grocery store and searched your phone for a recipe or meal idea because you found something fun?  Well I do this all the time.  I saw these fresh figs and was like yum, but how can I eat them in a meal?  So I searched and found this site and recipe.  She covers some great options to do with Figs.  So I decided to try the Grilled Cheese with Avocado and Fig. OMG it was so good.  I added a homemade broccoli salad to it for dinner one night. Blueberry Muffins

I love baking!  Especially on Sunday.  I grew up with my mom meal prepping and baking on Sunday’s for the week.  It is my solace.  I pick a movie and roll up my sleeves to make something amazing for the week.  Lately Blueberry Muffins from scratch are my favorite.  This recipe is one I got from my amazing sister.  The muffins are moist and perfectly made!
